Want more info about Kombucha... Go to our primary Home Page. Question of the month; Does Kombucha really work? Answer is...Yes! If it did not help to improve health why would millions of people keep drinking it and brewing it, for over 2000 years. About KombuchaKombucha is a carbonated tea-based beverage that many drink for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific information supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are many centuries of anecdotal accounts telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also often popularly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not a true mushroom. It slowly grows on the surface of the tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and looks like a near whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of many): Testimonial - Probiotic - Stomach: "This tea tastes amazing! I just made my first batch and I'm drinking it so fast I'm going to actually have to make a bigger batch next time. It's balancing out my gut and I'm noticing less sugar cravings than usual. I'm lovin' that! It's only been a few days so I"ll have to update later on other noticeable improvements. This company's attention to detail with how to brew the tea, etc is impeccable, I can't appreciate that enough! Thank you so much!... D.S."
