If it didn't improve health why have millions of people have kept drinking it and making it, for over 2000 years. Description of KombuchaKombucha is a effervescent tea-based drink that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific information supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are many centuries of anecdotal stories telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available in stores but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most commonly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It slowly grows on the very surface of the tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of a large number): Testimonial - Arthritis, Energy, Longevity: "Hi, I personally have used kombucha for about ten years. I have found that my skin is softer and that I rarely get sick. As I aproach the age of forty, I find that my energy level hasn't gone down. The biggest thing I notice is that I no longer suffer from arthritis. Allso, I have given it to my dog, whos life expectency for the breed is around 12 to 14 years... she lived to almost 19 tears of age and was energetic and young. I would urge everyone to decide on brewing there own Kombucha... and do so by dealing with Kombucha America... R.L.S."
