Want more information about Kombucha... Go to our main web site. Question of the week; Does Kombucha really work? Answer is...Yes! If it didn't improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and preparing it, for thousands of years. About KombuchaKombucha is a effervescent tea-based beverage that many drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are several centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most often referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not really a mushroom. It slowly forms on the surface of the fermenting tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of hundreds): Testimonial - Arthritis, Energy, Longevity: "Hi, I personally have used kombucha for about ten years. I have found that my skin is softer and that I rarely get sick. As I aproach the age of forty, I find that my energy level hasn't gone down. The biggest thing I notice is that I no longer suffer from arthritis. Allso, I have given it to my dog, whos life expectency for the breed is around 12 to 14 years... she lived to almost 19 tears of age and was energetic and young. I would urge everyone to decide on brewing there own Kombucha... and do so by dealing with Kombucha America... R.L.S."
