Need more information about Kombucha... Go to our primary Home Page. Question of the day; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...It absolutely does! If it didn't improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and preparing it, for thousands of years. Description of KombuchaKombucha is a effervescent tea-based drink that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the cost of such studies. There are many centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It slowly grows on the surface of the tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a near whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of many): Testimonial - Osteopenia (Bone Pain) and Heart Problem: "I was suffering from osteopenia a precursor of Osteosperosis. My pain was nothing short of unberable. I got the tea for my husband's kidney stone. We both drunk the tea and about the second day of usage I was pain free, completely. I am giving this testimonial not because I like to write "testimonials" I am extremelly busy person, but it is a matter of conscience. My husband's faulty calcium metabolism was responsible for formation of kidney stones and heart problems. To make it short, our lives had been changed in a matter of one week regimen with this tea. I drink 4 full glasses a day. My husband drinks two... E.M."
