Want more information about Kombucha Tea... Go to our main Home Page. Question of the month; Does Kombucha Tea really improve health? Answer is...It absolutely does! If it didn't improve health why have millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for over two thousand years. Description of KombuchaKombucha is a invigorating tea-based drink that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are many centuries of anecdotal accounts supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold in stores but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most commonly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not a true mushroom. It slowly grows on the surface of the tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of dozens and dozens): Testimonial - Multiple Sclerosis (MS): "I am very much excited about getting "on" the tea again. I was using it for 2 years before my culture became contaminated after moving to our new home. Doctors had a hard time diagnosing my M.S. because Kombucha took away many symptoms. I am going to keep one for myself and get another "M.S." friend started. Can't wait!... G.W."
