Question of the day; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...It absolutely does! If it didn't improve health why would millions of people keep drinking it and brewing it, for over 2000 years.

What is Kombucha

Kombucha is a invigorating tea-based beverage that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific information supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the cost of such studies. There are several centuries of anecdotal stories telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold in stores but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not a true mushroom. It slowly forms on the surface of the fermenting tea while the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of dozens and dozens):

Testimonial - Fibroid tumors, Energy: "I went into WholeFoods Market in the area where I live. I happen to walk over to the beverage area where I normally look for water. But something said pickup the bottle of Kombucha Tea. I began to read all the ingredients that were in this tea. Most of ingredients I'm familiar with, so that grab my interest, but then I read on the side of the bottle, there was a testimony about a mother, who had successfully won her battle with breast cancer while drinking this miracle tea. I was convinced at this point to try it. So, I bought the Gingerade Kombucha tea. When I got back to work and starting drinking it, I was truly amazed at how I felt. And there was something strange that took place. I felt a burning sensation in my right breast and my left side where I have fibroid tumors. And I had an excessive amount of energy. I was like WOW. This is a miracle tea.

Since then, I have been still drinking this tea and no more burning, I feel like whatever was going on in my body at that time it has been healed. May everyone that has tried this remarkable drink be blessed. CONTINUE TO BE HEALED ... M.P."

Should I be worried about the safety of Kombucha?

Most ask this question because are aware that some fungi are toxic or they have been told misinformation about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom it is not poisonous. It is only "popularly" called a mushroom.

Kombucha Tea has been used as a health remedy for over two millennium and is now being sold in health shops and grocery stores in the U.S., far less expensive to make it yourself.

Kombucha Tea is not a drug. The F.D.A. has found this remarkable tea to be a safe drink provided it is prepared properly in a clean way so as not to be contaminated by pathogens. Any food that you prepare can become contaminated but the risk is probably less for Kombucha as it is a fermented drink and as it ferments it produces a small amount of alcohol which protects the tea from obnoxious pathogens.

Nobody has ever died from drinking correctly prepared Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over 2000 years. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented drink and , but then again some few people may be allergic to any number of things. A reaction is usually just a minor skin blush or itch.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than grapefruit juice or orange juice, unless it is allowed to ferment longer and to a more sour state. Drinking Kombucha Tea wil not change the pH level of your blood unless you drink large quantities of the tea when it is very sour, this would not be a smart thing to do, drinking huge quantities of anything is usually not a good idea.

A Kombucha mushroom might develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common food molds are harmless but they can ruin the taste of the tea. This minor problem can be easily prevented by keeping the brewing jar properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most prescribed drugs.

There is nothing that is inherently dangerous about this beneficial beverage; it is a delicious and safe beverage that can help to improve your health!
