Seeking more info about Kombucha... Go to our main Home Page. Question of the week; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...Yes! If it did not help to improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for thousands of years. What is KombuchaKombucha is a carbonated tea-based drink that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such medical studies. There are many centuries of anecdotal stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available in stores but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most often referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It slowly forms on the surface of the tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of many): Testimonial - Endometriosis, Dandruff, Menopause, Sleep: "I received a Kombucha culture in the beginning of December and my family has been drinking the tea. My sister has endometriosis and is usually in constant pain especially at that time of the month but now she is nearly pain free. She also tells me that her dandruff problem appears to be easing. My mother has been going through menopause and now that she's using the tea, she's been able to eat chocolate again without getting a hot flash. I was recently in a car accident and although I'm doing fine, I haven't been sleeping well. Now that I'm drinking the tea, I can sleep through the night. That's all for now. I'll update later... J.L.H."
