Question of the month; Does Kombucha Tea really work? Answer is...Absolutely yes! If it didn't improve health why have millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for over two thousand years.

Description of Kombucha

Kombucha is a carbonated tea-based beverage that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific information supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are several centuries of popular accounts telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available in stores but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It forms on the surface of the fermenting tea while the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of hundreds):

Testimonial - Candida: "My husband and I have battled candida for a long time. Â After drinking our first batch, the candida symptoms disappeared. Â Also, my husband no longer craves caffeine and does not get heartburn. Â I have been able to help friends and family with this "magic" brew... Is Kombucha safe?

Most ask this question because they know that some mushrooms are toxic or they have been told misinformation about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom and it is not poisonous. People only call it a mushroom, it is not a mushroom.

Kombucha has been used for health improvement for thousands of years it is now being widely sold in health food in the U.S., it is a lot cheaper to make it yourself.

The tea does improve health but it is not a drug. The FDA has stated that Kombucha Tea to be a safe beverage if it is correctly prepared in a clean manner so as not to be contaminated by pathogens. Any food that you make can become contaminated but the risk is probably less so for Kombucha because it is a fermented drink and as it ferments it creates a small amount of alcohol helping to protect it.

Nobody has died from drinking correctly made Kombucha Tea and millions drink the tea daily and have done so for over 2000 years. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented beverage and , but then again some few people could be sensitive to any number of things. An allergic is usually just a reddening of the skin or a minor.

The tea is acidic but no more so than wine, orange juice, or grapefruit juice, unless it is permitted to ferment too long in which case it becomes more sour. Drinking Kombucha Tea wil not change the pH level of your blood unless you were to very large quantities of the tea when it is very sour, this would be foolish to do, drinking very large amounts of anything is usually not a good idea.

Rarely A Kombucha mushroom might develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common food molds are harmless but they can spoil the taste of the tea. This minor problem can be easily avoided by keeping the fermenting tea properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most prescription medications.

There is nothing that is inherently dangerous about this remarkable tea; it is a delicious and safe beverage that can help to improve your health!
