If it did not help to improve health why have millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for over 2000 years. What is KombuchaKombucha is a invigorating tea-based drink that many drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are several centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also most commonly referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not a true mushroom. It forms on the surface of the fermenting tea while the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of dozens and dozens): Testimonial - Quality: "I have been brewing KT for a few months. My supply grew mold so I had to start over with a new culture. I ordered 4 from Kombucha America. When I used the cultures to brew KT the results were great!! None of my other brews, from mushrooms I had ordered from other sites, could compare with the great taste and effervesense of my new brew. It tastes delicious!! The scobies that I have grown are very solid and much thicker than ones I grew before. I am very pleased with my order and thank you for a great product... C.M.S."
