Seeking more information about Kombucha Tea... Go to our main Home Page. Question of the month; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...Yes! If it didn't improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for over 2000 years. About KombuchaKombucha is a effervescent tea-based beverage that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are several centuries of popular stories telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most commonly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It slowly grows on the surface of the fermenting tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of many): Testimonial - Interstitial Cistites, Menopause, Bladder: "Interstitial Cistites is a weird spelling but a real crippling condition that affects many women in America. I had suffered from this condition for about 20 years. I've taken the tea for many months and not only got rid of menopausal symptoms, Osteopenia (don't have to buy Actonel anymore) but I also have increased my bladder capacity almost to an 4 hour period (consider normal for my age), besides I no longer have the burning pain on the bladder wall. I think this is the greatest thing in the world... E.O."
