Question of the day; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...Absolutely yes! If it didn't improve health why have millions of people keep drinking it and preparing it, for thousands of years.

About Kombucha

Kombucha is a carbonated tea-based drink that many drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such studies. There are several centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not a true mushroom. It grows on the very surface of the tea while the tea is fermenting and resembles a whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of dozens and dozens):

Testimonial - Feeling of Well Being: "My boyfriend, grandma and I have just recently started drinking K tea and we are in awesome moods. My grandma is going to cut back on the meds that she is on and see what happens. She says she feels great and wants to continue with it. As for my boyfriend and I we have had great days since drinking (Kombucha). I feel like it has evened out my mood and emotions. At first we were not sure if it was the tea and now we are sure of it. Anyone we know we are telling about this wonderful tea. Try it you have nothing to loose!!!... Kombucha Tea safe?

Most ask this question because are aware that some mushrooms are toxic or they have been misinformed about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom and it is not toxic. People only call it a mushroom, it is not a mushroom.

Kombucha Tea has been used for health improvement for over 2000 years it is now being sold in food and health in the U.S., far less expensive to make it yourself.

The tea does improve health but it is not a drug. The F.D.A. has found this remarkable tea to be a safe beverage provided it is prepared properly in a clean manner so as not to be contaminated by pathogens. All foods that you prepare can become contaminated but the risk is probably less so for Kombucha as it is a fermented drink and as it ferments it creates a small amount of alcohol which helps to protect the tea against pathogens.

No person has ever died from drinking properly made Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over two millennium. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented beverage and , but some few people might be allergic to any number of things. An allergic is usually just a skin reddening or a minor.

The tea is acidic but no more so than wine, orange juice, or grapefruit juice, unless it is allowed to ferment too long then it becomes more acidic. Drinking Kombucha Tea wil not change the pH level of your blood unless you were to very large amounts of the tea when it is very sour, this would be foolish to do, drinking large amounts of anything is hardly a smart thing to do.

A Kombucha mushroom may develop a mold but this is not common. Most common food molds are harmless but they can ruin the taste of the tea. This limited problem is easily prevented by keeping the fermenting tea properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most all prescribed drugs.

There is nothing that is inherently dangerous about this amazing tea; it is a great tasting drink that can can improve your health!
