Question of the day; Does Kombucha Tea really improve health? Answer is...Yes! If it didn't improve health why would millions of people keep drinking it and making it, for over 2000 years.

About Kombucha

Kombucha is a invigorating tea-based beverage that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are many centuries of popular accounts telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold in stores but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not really a mushroom. It slowly forms on the surface of the fermenting tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of dozens and dozens):

Testimonial - Hair Color, Skin, Vitality: "When taking Kombucha for over two years I noticed many excellent changes such as less gray hair, younger skin and more vitality. I'm thrilled to have found your site as I haven't made the tea in about 8 years (not getting any younger either)... Kombucha Tea has been used as a health remedy for over 2000 years it is now being widely sold in health food in the U.S., it is a lot cheaper to make it yourself.

The tea does improve health but it is not a drug. The FDA has stated that Kombucha Tea to be a safe beverage provided it is prepared properly in a clean manner so as not to become contaminated by pathogens. All foods that you make has a risk of contamination but the risk is probably less so for Kombucha as it is a fermented beverage and as it ferments it produces a small amount of alcohol which helps to protect the tea against pathogens.

No one has ever died from drinking properly prepared Kombucha Tea and millions drink the tea daily and have done so for thousands of years. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented beverage and , but then again some few people might be sensitive to any number of things. A reaction is usually just a skin reddening or a minor.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than grapefruit juice or orange juice, unless it is permitted to ferment too long then it becomes more acidic. Drinking Kombucha Tea cannot change the pH level of your blood unless you were to huge quantities of the tea when it is very sour, this would not be a smart thing to do, drinking very large quantities of anything is hardly a smart thing to do.

A Kombucha mushroom could develop a mold but this is not common. Most common household food molds are harmless but a contamination can spoil the taste of the tea. This small problem is easily prevented by keeping the brewing jar properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most all prescription medications.

There is nothing that is dangerous about this amazing tea; it is a delicious and safe beverage that can will improve your health!
