Question of the week; Does Kombucha Tea really improve health? Answer is...Yes! If it didn't improve health why have millions of people have kept drinking it and making it, for over two thousand years.

About Kombucha

Kombucha is a invigorating tea-based beverage that many drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are many centuries of popular accounts supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not really a mushroom. It forms on the surface of the fermenting tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of a large number):

Testimonial - Mercury Detoxification: "I just returned from a trip to Costa Rica where I had my first drink of kombucha tea. I actually had three glasses within 5 days. When I came home I no longer had the mecury toxicity that I had before my trip. I am convinced the tea cleared it from my system. I had been taking lots of detox pills from my naturopath but after three months I was making little progress. The 3 glasses of kombucha zipped right through me and eliminated all of the mercury from my system... Is Kombucha safe?

Most ask this question because they have heard that some mushrooms are poisonous or they have been told misinformation about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom it is not poisonous. It is only "popularly" called a mushroom.

Kombucha has been used as a health remedy for thousands of years it is now being widely sold in health food in the USA, far less expensive to make it yourself.

Kombucha Tea is not a drug. The FDA has found this remarkable tea to be a safe drink if it is prepared properly in a clean way so as not to become contaminated by pathogens. All foods that you prepare can become contaminated but the risk is probably less for Kombucha as it is a fermented beverage and as it ferments it makes a small amount of alcohol helping to protect it.

No one has ever died from drinking properly made Kombucha Tea and millions drink the tea daily and have done so for over two millennium. It is safer than aspirin. There are 1000 aspirin related aspirin deaths yearly.

Kombucha Tea is a fermented beverage and , but then again some few people may be allergic to any number of things. An allergic is usually just a minor skin blush or itch.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than grapefruit juice or orange juice, unless it is permitted to ferment too long then it becomes more acidic. Drinking Kombucha Tea cannot change the pH level of your blood unless you were to huge quantities of the tea when it is very sour, this would be foolish to do, drinking very large quantities of anything is hardly a smart thing to do.

Rarely A Kombucha mushroom could develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common such molds are not harmful but they can spoil the taste of the tea. This small problem can be easily avoided by keeping the fermenting tea properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most all prescription medications.

There is nothing that is dangerous about this beneficial beverage; it is a delicious and safe beverage that can will improve health!

Kombucha - How I Answer Questions

I am Assunta, I am a software program that answers your simple questions about Kombucha. I am not extroverted and not good at carrying on personal conversations. Only ask me one question at a time in a single simple sentence.

State and question as simply as possible without spelling errors. If I have a hard time answering just try rephrasing the question or try just using subject keywords.

I guess at what you are asking by noticing keywords in your question and the pattern in which the keywords are positioned in your sentence.

I am at my best when only asked questions about Kombucha.

I may not know how to answer all questions that are asked, communicating with humans is not easy for me. I am getting better at it day by day as my memory is updated. I am not intelligent enough to give medical advice, if I was I would ask for a larger salary.
