I am pretty sure that, if you will be quite honest, you will admit that a good rousing sneeze, one that tears open your collar and throws your hair into your eyes, is really one of life's sensational pleasures. ~Robert Benchley

Question of the day; Does Kombucha Tea really work? Answer is...It absolutely does! If it did not better health why would millions of people keep drinking it and making it, for over two thousand years.

What is Kombucha

Kombucha is a delicious tea-based drink that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific information supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are several centuries of popular stories telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold commercially but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It slowly grows on the surface of the fermenting tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and resembles a whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of hundreds):

Testimonial - Vitality, Mood; "I've been brewing my own for only a couple weeks; but I love the feel and effect for overall vitality, or mood in particular. I'm doing this partly as an experiment: I'd love to be able to report that I'm getting increased help with a partial seizure problem (from a brain surgery 5 yrs. ago). We'll see!! Supposedly the beta -glucans found in KT are effective for reducing brain tumors and scars, and that may still be an issue for me.

Also, a great tip was to use the oven (off) with a light on constantly (to keep the fermenting tea at the proper brewing temps)! I think I have a 20W bulb in there, and a thermometer tells me it's generally in the mid/upper 70s, just perfect!! So easy. ... N.K."

Kombucha Tea has been used for health improvement for thousands of years it is now being sold in food and health in the USA, it is a lot cheaper to make it yourself.

Kombucha Tea is not a drug. The FDA has stated that Kombucha Tea to be a safe drink provided it is correctly prepared in a clean way so as not to become contaminated by common food pathogens. All foods that you make has a risk of contamination but the risk is probably less so for Kombucha because it is a fermented drink and as it ferments it makes a small amount of alcohol helping to protect it.

Nobody has ever died from drinking correctly prepared Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over 2000 years. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented beverage and , but then again some few people might be allergic to any number of different things. A reaction is usually just a reddening of the skin or a minor.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than wine, orange juice, or grapefruit juice, unless it is allowed to ferment too long in which case it becomes more sour. Drinking Kombucha Tea wil not change the pH level of your blood unless you drink very large quantities of the tea when it is very sour, this would not be a smart thing to do, drinking large quantities of anything is usually not a wise thing to do.

A Kombucha mushroom may develop a mold but this is not common. Most common household food molds are harmless but they can ruin the taste of the tea. This small problem is easily avoided by keeping the brewing jar properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most prescription medications.

There is nothing that is inherently dangerous about this beneficial beverage; it is a great tasting drink that can can improve your health!
