Question of the month; Does Kombucha Tea really improve health? Answer is...Yes! If it did not help to improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for thousands of years.

About Kombucha

Kombucha is a carbonated tea-based beverage that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are many centuries of popular stories telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not a true mushroom. It grows on the surface of the tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of dozens and dozens):

Testimonial - Endometriosis, Dandruff, Menopause, Sleep: "I received a Kombucha culture in the beginning of December and my family has been drinking the tea. My sister has endometriosis and is usually in constant pain especially at that time of the month but now she is nearly pain free. She also tells me that her dandruff problem appears to be easing. My mother has been going through menopause and now that she's using the tea, she's been able to eat chocolate again without getting a hot flash. I was recently in a car accident and although I'm doing fine, I haven't been sleeping well. Now that I'm drinking the tea, I can sleep through the night. That's all for now. I'll update later... Should I be worried about the safety of Kombucha?

Most ask this question because they have heard that some fungi are poisonous or they have been misinformed about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom and it is not poisonous. People only call it a mushroom, it is not a mushroom.

Kombucha Tea has been used as a health remedy for over two millennium it is now being sold in food and health in the USA, far less expensive to make it yourself.

Kombucha Tea is not a drug. The F.D.A. has found this remarkable tea to be a safe beverage if it is correctly prepared in a clean manner so as not to be contaminated by common food pathogens. Any food that you prepare has a risk of contamination but the risk is probably less for Kombucha as it is a fermented drink which as it ferments it creates a small amount of alcohol which helps to protect the tea against pathogens.

No one has died from drinking properly made Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over 2000 years. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented drink and , but some few people could be allergic to any number of things. An allergic is usually just a minor skin blush or a minor.

The tea is acidic but no more so than grapefruit juice or orange juice, unless it is permitted to ferment too long then it becomes more acidic. Drinking Kombucha Tea wil not change the pH level of your blood unless you drink huge quantities of the tea when it is sour, this would not be a smart thing to do, drinking huge quantities of anything is hardly a smart thing to do.

Rarely A Kombucha mushroom could develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common such molds are harmless but a contamination can spoil the taste of the tea. This minor problem can be easily prevented by keeping the brewing jar properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most prescribed drugs.

There is nothing that is naturally dangerous about this beneficial beverage; it is a delicious and safe beverage that can help to improve health!

Kombucha Tea - Answering Questions

My name is Assunta, I am a software program that answers simple questions about Kombucha. I am not extroverted and not good at carrying on causal conversations. Only ask me 1 question at a time in a single statement.

Ask the question as simply as possible without spelling errors. If I cannot answer correctly just try rephrasing the question.

I guess at what questions you are asking by noticing keywords in your question and the pattern in which the keywords are positioned in your sentence.

I perform best when only asked questions about Kombucha Tea.

I may not know how to answer all questions, communicating with humans is not easy for me. Each day my memory is updated and I am getting better at doing my job. I am not qualified to give medical advice, if I was I would ask to be paid more.
