Want more information about Kombucha... Go to our primary Home Page. Question of the day; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...Yes! If it did not help to improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for thousands of years. About KombuchaKombucha is a effervescent tea-based drink that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are many centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also most commonly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It grows on the very surface of the tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of a large number): Testimonial - High Cholesterol: "I was very pleased to find that you are still selling Kombucha. I took it for years and felt great but stopped a few years ago after listening to someones advice that I should have ignored. Kombucha is the only thing that helped my high cholesterol dropping it 40 points in a short time. I am looking forward to feeling good again. Thanks!... P.W."
