Want more info about Kombucha... Go to our main Home Page. Question of the day; Does Kombucha Tea really improve health? Answer is...Absolutely yes! If it didn't improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for thousands of years. What is KombuchaKombucha is a invigorating tea-based beverage that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such medical studies. There are several centuries of anecdotal stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold in stores but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also most often referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not really a mushroom. It grows on the surface of the fermenting tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of hundreds): Testimonial - Multiple Sclerosis (MS): "I am very much excited about getting "on" the tea again. I was using it for 2 years before my culture became contaminated after moving to our new home. Doctors had a hard time diagnosing my M.S. because Kombucha took away many symptoms. I am going to keep one for myself and get another "M.S." friend started. Can't wait!... G.W."
