Need more information about Kombucha... Go to our primary web site. Question of the day; Does Kombucha Tea really improve health? Answer is...Absolutely yes! If it did not help to improve health why have millions of people keep drinking it and brewing it, for over 2000 years. About KombuchaKombucha is a delicious tea-based drink that many drink for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the cost of such studies. There are many centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold in stores but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also often popularly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not a true mushroom. It slowly forms on the surface of the tea while the tea is fermenting and resembles a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of hundreds): Testimonial - Vitality, Mood; "I've been brewing my own for only a couple weeks; but I love the feel and effect for overall vitality, or mood in particular. I'm doing this partly as an experiment: I'd love to be able to report that I'm getting increased help with a partial seizure problem (from a brain surgery 5 yrs. ago). We'll see!! Supposedly the beta -glucans found in KT are effective for reducing brain tumors and scars, and that may still be an issue for me. Also, a great tip was to use the oven (off) with a light on constantly (to keep the fermenting tea at the proper brewing temps)! I think I have a 20W bulb in there, and a thermometer tells me it's generally in the mid/upper 70s, just perfect!! So easy. ... N.K."
