Seeking more info about Kombucha... Go to our primary web site. Question of the day; Does Kombucha really work? Answer is...Yes! If it did not better health why would millions of people keep drinking it and making it, for over 2000 years. About KombuchaKombucha is a delicious tea-based drink that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are several centuries of anecdotal stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also often popularly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not a true mushroom. It forms on the surface of the tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of many): Testimonial - Thanks!: "Thanks to Kombucha America for two very healthy starter cultures and a defined instruction on how to grow. The taste is beautiful, and while mine was brewed in black tea, my friend grew hers in green tea. We left each one for the recommended seven days and budda-boom! I'm hoping to see the benefits that may result for my friend who has fibromyalgia... A.M."
