Need more info about Kombucha... Go to our main Home Page. Question of the day; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...It absolutely does! If it didn't improve health why have millions of people keep drinking it and preparing it, for over two thousand years. About KombuchaKombucha is a delicious tea-based drink that many drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the cost of such studies. There are several centuries of popular accounts telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not really a mushroom. It slowly grows on the surface of the fermenting tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of hundreds): Testimonial - Weight Loss, Colds: "I have been drinking KT for 1 1/2 years, I managed to lose 60 pounds without dieting. I contribute that to the KT, it has also got me off POP and on to water instead, and I was also able to break my 2 teaspoon sugar habit in my coffee, now no sugar in my coffee. I also don't get colds like other people around me do... M.F."
