Seeking more information about Kombucha... Go to our primary web site. Question of the week; Does Kombucha Tea really work? Answer is...It absolutely does! If it did not help to improve health why would millions of people keep drinking it and preparing it, for over 2000 years. About KombuchaKombucha is a delicious tea-based drink that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are many centuries of anecdotal accounts telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also often popularly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not a true mushroom. It slowly grows on the surface of the fermenting tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of numerous): Testimonial - Skin: "I've been using kombucha since Sept. 09 and am noticing improvements in my skin... I don't bruise as often, and my skin looks fresher. I also have more energy. I make kombucha in many flavors; using four regular green tea bags and four green tea with pomegranate or mango or other flavors. It is delicious! ... E.A."
