Question of the day; Does Kombucha really improve health? Answer is...Yes! If it did not better health why have millions of people have kept drinking it and brewing it, for over two thousand years.

Description of Kombucha

Kombucha is a delicious tea-based beverage that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are several centuries of popular accounts telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most commonly referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not a true mushroom. It slowly forms on the surface of the fermenting tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of dozens and dozens):

Testimonial - Prostate, Costs: "I am so greatful for your help in getting me started in this new habit. By having a constant supply of this healthful beverage, I have been able to minimise the perscription medication I take for prostate trouble. The perscripton medication is known to cause cancer and cost $10 per month. The enzymes and supplements that I've been buying as a health conscious alternative cost 4 times as much. There's no tax deduction for vitimines like there is for carsinogenic perscriptions! As we enter into the recession of , I am very greatful to find the cost advantage of making my own kombucha tea! ... Is Kombucha safe?

Most ask this question because they know that some fungi are poisonous or they have been told misinformation about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom it is not toxic. People only call it a mushroom, it is not a mushroom.

Kombucha has been used as a health remedy for thousands of years it is now being sold in health shops and grocery stores in the USA, it is a lot cheaper to make it yourself.

The tea does improve health but it is not a drug. The FDA has found Kombucha Tea to be a safe beverage provided it is prepared properly in a clean manner so as not to become contaminated by pathogens. All foods that you make can become contaminated but the risk is probably less for Kombucha because it is a fermented beverage and as it ferments it creates a small amount of alcohol which helps to protect the tea against pathogens.

No person has ever died from drinking properly prepared Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over 2000 years. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented drink and , but then again some few people could be allergic to any number of different things. An allergic is usually just a skin reddening or a minor.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than grapefruit juice or orange juice, unless it is allowed to ferment too long to a more sour condition. Drinking Kombucha Tea wil not change the pH level of your blood unless you drink huge amounts of the tea when it is very sour, this would not be a smart thing to do, drinking very large quantities of anything is hardly a smart thing to do.

A Kombucha mushroom could develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common household food molds are harmless but a contamination can ruin the taste of the tea. This limited problem is easily avoided by keeping the fermenting tea properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most prescribed drugs.

There is nothing that is inherently dangerous about this remarkable tea; it is a great tasting drink that can will improve your health!

Kombucha Tea - How I Answer Questions

My name is Assunta, I am a software program that can answer questions about Kombucha. I am not extroverted and not good at carrying on personal conversations. Only ask me 1 question at a time within a single statement.

State the question as simply as possible without spelling errors. If I cannot answer correctly just try rewording the question or try just using subject keywords.

I guess at what you are asking by noticing keywords in your question and the pattern in which the keywords show up in your question.

I perform best when only asked questions about Kombucha.

I might not know how to answer all questions that are asked, chatting with humans is not easy for me. I am getting better at it day by day as my memory is updated. I am not intelligent enough to give medical advice, if I was I would ask for a raise.
