Question of the day; Does Kombucha Tea really work? Answer is...Yes! If it didn't improve health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and making it, for over two thousand years.

Description of Kombucha

Kombucha is a invigorating tea-based beverage that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are many centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available commercially but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most commonly referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not a true mushroom. It slowly grows on the very surface of the tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of many):

Testimonial - Osteopenia, Osteoperosis, High Blood Pressure, Heart Diease: "I had suffered a by-pass surgery and my wife, always researching about alternative medicine found this site about Kombucha tea, she had heard of that a few years ago and since I was up to another stent (a procedure similar to a by-pass heart surgery) we decided to give it a try. To make a long story a short one, I never had the by-pass surgery, never needed it. I reduced almost to nothing some of the drugs I was taking (not suggesting you do the same without consulting with your physician) others I flatly removed. My blood pressure was the lowest ever and I eliminate all medication to blood pressure. My wife suffering from horrendous "hot flashes" and osteopenia ( a precursor to osteoperosis) had such an improvement. She never had another hot flash again ( a condition she was suffering for the last 8 years) and her osteopenia is almost gone . I went from a pale yellow wall color to a fresh teenager blush. My wife lost five pounds without trying and no more hot flashes for her. Don't hold yourself back from trying this amazing Kombucha and we do rely on his product and vouch for that. Follow the instructions. We each drink about 3 glasses a day and we bought a whole bunch of Glass jars at Wall-Mart. Just thought I should give something back to people that may suffer from the same condition I do or did, or my wife. Sincerely, ...M."

Kombucha Tea safe?

Most ask this question because are aware that some fungi are toxic or they have been misinformed about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom it is not toxic. It is only "popularly" called a mushroom.

Kombucha Tea has been used as a health remedy for over two millennium it is now being sold in health shops and grocery stores in the U.S., it is a lot cheaper to make it yourself.

Kombucha Tea is not a drug. The FDA has found this remarkable tea to be a safe drink provided it is correctly prepared in a clean manner so as not to become contaminated by pathogens. All foods that you prepare has a risk of contamination but the risk is probably less so for Kombucha because it is a fermented beverage which as it ferments it makes a small amount of alcohol which helps to protect the tea against pathogens.

No one has ever died from drinking correctly made Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over two millennium. It is safer than aspirin. There are 1000 aspirin related aspirin deaths yearly.

Kombucha Tea is a fermented beverage and , but then again some few people could be sensitive to any number of different things. An allergic is usually just a reddening of the skin or itch.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than wine, orange juice, or grapefruit juice, unless it is allowed to ferment too long to a more sour condition. Drinking Kombucha Tea cannot change the pH level of your blood unless you drink very large amounts of the tea when it is sour, this would be foolish to do, drinking very large amounts of anything is usually not a wise thing to do.

A Kombucha mushroom may develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common food molds are harmless but a contamination can ruin the taste of the tea. This limited problem is easily prevented by keeping the fermenting tea properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most prescribed medications.

There is nothing that is naturally dangerous about this beneficial beverage; it is a great tasting drink that can can improve your health!

Kombucha Tea - Answering Questions

I am Assunta, I am a software bot that can answer questions about Kombucha. I am not extroverted and not good at carrying on causal conversations. Only ask me one question at a time in a single simple sentence.

State these questions as simply as possible with no spelling errors. If I cannot answer correctly try rewording the question or try just using subject keywords.

I guess at what you are asking by noticing keywords in the question and the pattern in which the keywords show up in your sentence.

I am at my best when you only ask questions about Kombucha.

I might not know how to answer all questions, communicating with humans is not easy for me. I am getting better at it day by day as my memory is updated. I am not qualified to give medical advice, if I was I would ask for more money.
