Question of the day; Does Kombucha Tea really work? Answer is...Yes! If it did not better health why would millions of people have kept drinking it and preparing it, for thousands of years.

Description of Kombucha

Kombucha is a invigorating tea-based drink that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal reasons. There is scientific data supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the expense of such studies. There are several centuries of popular stories supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold in stores but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This produces the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not really a mushroom. It slowly grows on the very surface of the tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and resembles a near whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of hundreds):

Testimonial - Acne, Skin, Energy, Depression, Hair growth, Weight, Digestion: "I'm in love with my kombucha tea! It has cleared up my acne, given my skin a beautiful glow, filled me with energy, erased my depression, sped up my hair growth, controlled my appetite, and aided my digestion. I drink 4 oz in the morning upon waking, 8-12 oz throughout the day, and 4 oz before bed. After making 1 gallon of the tea, I pour it into empthy glass Snappple bottles and store it in the fridge. I want everyone in my life to make this drink a part of their lifestyle!... Should I be worried about the safety of Kombucha?

Most ask this question because they know that some mushrooms are toxic or they have been misinformed about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom and it is not toxic. People only call it a mushroom, it is not a mushroom.

Kombucha Tea has been used for health improvement for thousands of years and is now being sold in health shops and grocery stores in the USA, far less expensive to make it yourself.

The tea does improve health but it is not a drug. The F.D.A. has found Kombucha Tea to be a safe drink if it is prepared properly in a clean manner so as not to become contaminated by common food pathogens. Any food that you prepare can become contaminated but the risk is probably less so for Kombucha as it is a fermented beverage and as it ferments it creates a small amount of alcohol which helps to protect the tea against pathogens.

No one has died from drinking correctly made Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over 2000 years. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented drink and , but then again some few people could be allergic to any number of things. An allergic is usually just a minor skin blush or itch.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than wine, orange juice, or grapefruit juice, unless it is permitted to ferment longer and to a more sour state. Drinking Kombucha Tea cannot change the pH level of your blood unless you were to large quantities of the tea when it is very sour, this would be foolish to do, drinking large quantities of anything is hardly a smart thing to do.

A Kombucha mushroom might develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common household food molds are not harmful but a contamination can spoil the taste of the tea. This small problem can be easily prevented by keeping the fermenting tea properly coveredKombucha is not known to counteract negatively with most all prescription drugs.

There is nothing that is dangerous about this beneficial beverage; it is a delicious and safe beverage that can can improve health!
