Desire more info about Kombucha Tea... Go to our primary Home Page. Question of the week; Does Kombucha really work? Answer is...It absolutely does! If it did not better health why have millions of people keep drinking it and brewing it, for over two thousand years. About KombuchaKombucha is a invigorating tea-based beverage that millions drink for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies are being conducted mainly due to the expense of such medical studies. There are many centuries of anecdotal accounts supporting health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is sold commercially but can easily be prepared by fermenting tea using a solid mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also most often referred to as the "mushroom" but it is not really a mushroom. It slowly forms on the very surface of the tea during the period of time the tea is fermenting and looks like a whitish colored pancake. Testimonial (Just one of hundreds): Testimonial - Interstitial Cistites, Menopause, Bladder: "Interstitial Cistites is a weird spelling but a real crippling condition that affects many women in America. I had suffered from this condition for about 20 years. I've taken the tea for many months and not only got rid of menopausal symptoms, Osteopenia (don't have to buy Actonel anymore) but I also have increased my bladder capacity almost to an 4 hour period (consider normal for my age), besides I no longer have the burning pain on the bladder wall. I think this is the greatest thing in the world... E.O."
