Men that look no further than their outsides, think health an appurtenance unto life, and quarrel with their constitutions for being sick; but I that have examined the parts of man, and know upon what tender filaments that fabric hangs, do wonder that we are not always so; and considering the thousand doors that lead to death, do thank my God that we can die but once. ~Thomas Browne

Question of the month; Does Kombucha Tea really work? Answer is...Yes! If it did not better health why have millions of people have kept drinking it and preparing it, for over two thousand years.

What is Kombucha

Kombucha is a delicious tea-based drink that is often drunk for its health benefits or medicinal purposes. There is scientific info supporting health benefits but unfortunately few studies or have been conducted mainly due to the cost of such medical studies. There are several centuries of popular stories telling of health benefits attributed to the tea. Kombucha is available in stores but can easily be made at home by fermenting tea using a spongy mass of yeast and bacteria often nicknamed a SCOBY. This forms the kombucha culture which is also referred to as the "mushroom" although it is not really a mushroom. It forms on the surface of the fermenting tea while the tea is fermenting and looks like a near whitish colored pancake.

Testimonial (Just one of many):

Testimonial - Hair, Cancer, Emphysema: "I first ordered your cultures 2 yrs ago it regrew my hair I lost weight and felt great I am still brewing the tea I just wanted some fresh cultures call it ocd I dont know lol but these are the best investment I have ever made. I gave it to an older woman who the doctors said had a mass on the kidney and was thought to be cancer. She drank the tea for two weeks when she went to have surgery the test before the operation confirmed the mass was gone. The doctors claimed cancer just doesn't go away. She also had emphysema which cleared up and went away. She says the tea is the only thing she does well. Blessings to you people, keep up the good work its helping more people than you think. Should I be worried about the safety of Kombucha?

Most ask this question because are aware that some mushrooms are poisonous or they have been told misinformation about Kombucha. Kombucha is not a mushroom it is not poisonous. It is only "popularly" called a mushroom.

Kombucha has been used as a health remedy for over two millennium and is now being sold in health shops and grocery stores in the U.S., it is a lot cheaper to make it yourself.

The tea does improve health but it is not a drug. The FDA has stated that Kombucha Tea to be a safe beverage if it is prepared properly in a clean way so as not to become contaminated by common food pathogens. All foods that you make can become contaminated but the risk is probably less for Kombucha as it is a fermented drink which as it ferments it makes a small amount of alcohol which protects the tea from obnoxious pathogens.

No person has died from drinking properly prepared Kombucha Tea and yet millions of people daily drink this remarkable beverage and have done so for over two millennium. One thousand people a year die from taking aspirin, so which do you think is safer!

Kombucha Tea is a fermented beverage and , but some few people might be allergic to any number of things. An allergic is usually just a reddening of the skin or itch.

Kombucha Tea is acidic but no more so than grapefruit juice or orange juice, unless it is permitted to ferment too long then it becomes more acidic. Drinking Kombucha Tea cannot change the pH level of your blood unless you drink very large quantities of the tea when it is sour, this would not be a smart thing to do, drinking very large amounts of anything is usually not a good idea.

Rarely A Kombucha mushroom might develop a mold but this is not likely. Most common such molds are harmless but they can ruin the taste of the tea. This small problem is easily prevented by keeping the brewing jar properly covered and if it should occur is easily detected and you simple make a new batch of tea."]
